This month, thirty more children in Gulu gained access to a weekly after-school tutoring circle closing a gap that had left many of them a full grade level behind in literacy and math.
The circle meets three afternoons a week in a repurposed church hall, staffed by two trained tutors and six volunteers from the local teachers' college. Materials, snacks and transport stipends are covered entirely through our Education Access program.
We're grateful to the donors whose monthly gifts made this expansion possible, and to Grace Community Church for hosting. If you'd like to help us open a third tutoring circle before the next school term, you can support Education Access directly.
“Within two months, most of the children moved up at least one reading level. That is the whole reason this work matters.”
